A close relative to our famed brushed triple yarn styles, this shadow plaid triple yarn uses an intricately woven ombré motif to soften the edges between the plaid. The effect is reminiscent of the penumbra of a shadow, thus: "shadow plaid."

To create this effect, the color of individual yarns slowly transitions from one color to another, creating a gradual gradient throughout the fabric. And without a brushing treatment, these oversized yarns are crisp and clearly visible, putting this effect on full display.
