Our Grenadine fabric comes from Fermo Fossati, Italy's oldest silk fabric mill and the third oldest in the world. With more than 150 years of textile experience, Fermo Fossati opts to bring all aspects of the fabric production processes in house. From raw silk processing to yarn dyeing and weaving, their production techniques ensure only the highest possible quality of Grenadine. Their 100+ year old looms create what's called an "English Gauze", where two warp yarns are twisted together around the weft yarns and back through the entire weave. This allows the fabric to maintain and open construction and transparent appearance.
