We often feature cotton/linen blends in our spring/summer collections, but this fabric is in a category of its own. Our Japanese partner mill opted to keep things local, and sourced its cotton and linen from local farms. Once yarns were spun, they were dyed by hand in small batches to ensure consistency. Upon weaving, our parter mill used white slubbed warp threads to create subtle vertical strikes throughout the fabric, while the dyed weft yarns feature nep to balance texture. The result is a home grown fabric with its own personality, unlike any other cotton/linen blend we have ever worked with.
