Product Type Organic Indigo Ikat

Handwoven fabrics are a theme throughout our AW24 collection, and this is one of our favorite examples. But unlike the others, this is the only handwoven fabric we’ve sourced from Japan. With this distinction, it features some quintessentially Japanese qualities like slubbed threads and varying hues of indigo. But what you don’t see is the antique handloom that was used to create this fabric. In operation since the early 1900’s, this particular loom has seen millions of yards of textiles over its lifetime. How lucky we are to have received some of its fabric.
