We asked our partner mill in Japan to create this fabric with two distinct yarns not just to add personality, but also because we've never seen this kind of weave structure before. The large gauge yarn was kept loose to add bulk and insulating properties, both important for a winter shirt. The small gauge yarn, however, is actually includes the same amount of material, but received a tightly-spun treatment to become a smaller yet denser material. In tandem, these yarns maintain a consistently textured surface without compromising weight, warmth, or drape. -
