Oxfords

Black Overdye Oxford Tuxedo Shirt

$240

Classy, sophisticated, and a bit unexpected, our Black Oxford got dressed up for our AW24 collection...

Classy, sophisticated, and a bit unexpected, our Black Oxford got dressed up for our AW24 collection with a handsome 10-pleat tuxedo front. Campy? Perhaps. Charming? You bet! Our inspiration came from our constantly evolving appreciation for the tension between formal and casual menswear conventions. Wear this style with a suit for a cheeky spin on a tux, or tuck it into some old denim for a playful approach to dressing up. Whatever you do, don’t get too serious!

Dutifully created with our 1930’s 10-needle sewing machine, the 10-pleat front is attached to our standard White Oxford with an applique technique that maintains shape while maximizing durability.

Design Construction
- Barrel Cuffs - 18 stitches per inch
- 10-pleat applique panel - Flat felled seams
- 4.5" adjustable sleeve gauntlet - Extra thick chalk buttons
- Split Yoke - Unlined collar and cuffs
- Rear collar button - Lined placket
- Locker Loop - Un-washed, not pre-shrunk
- Rear center box pleat - Made with love in the USA

Formal or casual, tucked or untucked, our easy-wearing shirts are an obvious choice for all occasions.

    Characteristics:

This shirt is cut and sewn from what many consider to be the best shirting fabric available: Cambridge Oxford Cloth. Distinguished from other Oxford cloths, our Cambridge Oxford is characterized by a 5oz, 40’s singles basketweave that strikes a balance between durability, softness, and pure class. Its gentle texture allows you to dress it up or down as you please, while a mid-weight hand makes Cambridge Oxford suitable for year-round wear. And because it softens with each wash, Cambridge Oxford only gets better with age. If we could only work with one fabric, this would be it.

Cambridge Oxford cloth was used for the very first shirt we made when our factory doors opened in 1978, and it continues to be our most popular fabric to this day.
