Tweed-inspired shirts always find a home in our Autumn/Winter collections, thanks to their rich texture and tonal depth. And while authentic Scottish woolens are wonderful, this Japan-woven cloth is crafted from 100% cotton and fares far better as shirting. Soft to the touch with a satisfyingly hefty drape, it still looks the part, just without the woolen itch.
This iteration takes its cues from classic Blackwatch tartan, reinterpreting its familiar navy, green, and black palette through a subtle shadow-plaid weave. Large-gauge, 2-ply yarns lend the fabric its substance and warmth, while a three-step brushing process increases insulation and softness while coaxing out the fuzzy, dimensional texture we associate with traditional tweed.
