Blackwatch is one of our favorite tartans, but this is the first time we've worked with a wool blackwatch. Endlessly wearable and extremely versatile, blackwatch is one of those perfect designs that just never gets old. But of course, we're picky when it comes to fabrics, and this one is special.

This particular fabric was woven at a family-owned neckwear textiles mill near Como, Italy with over 100 years of expertise. Their team opted for a 100% merino plain-weave construction, which offers breathability, texture, and durability in equal measure. Delightfully designed and built for a lifetime, this tie is a true heirloom piece.

Our neckwear workshop in North Carolina, USA specializes in hand-crafted ties, meaning no machinery is used in the entire production process. Our team is armed solely with scissors, needles, thread, and an iron. More than a hundred stitches are used to create the lifeline of the tie, giving it a perfect drape while allowing the fabric to settle with each wear. We've also added a complex hand-crocheted bar tack at the top and bottom of the tie for an added touch of luxury.
