Having seen our Japanese partner mill pull off miracles in the past, we asked them an odd question: can you make us denim, but make it soft? “Yes” we were told, and our new brushed twill was born. As it turns out, making a soft denim isn’t that complex. All it took was a rigorous series of brushing processes applied to both sides of the fabric, effectively breaking it in to the extent that it feels like flannel. -
