With roots in Scotland's highland hunting history, the gun club check is a storied textile across a huge span of of menswear history. Here, our friends at Marling & Evans, one of the UK's oldest active weaving mills, did away with the design's traditional palette and opted instead for a tonal, icey blue colorway.

As any proper gun club should be, this textile is rendered it in 100% lambswool, offering impressive softness, warmth, and durability. It's an apt choice for our Simple Jacket, and layers with an unexpected note of color under a navy overcoat or over a button down.

Like all of our Simple Jackets, this style was cut and sewn at our tailoring house in Rochester, NY.
