Elevating this style is a remarkable donegal bouclé wool fabric from Vitale Barberis Canonico, a storied woolen mill located in Italy's Piedmont region. For those unfamiliar, VBC is the oldest mill in the world, and has created superlative woolen fabrics since 1663. To say we're thrilled about this fabric is an understatement.

Woven using 100% merino wool bouclé yarns, this fabric combines performance with elegance in equal parts. Wrinkle resistant, insulating, and delicately textured, this fabric nods to Scottish tweeds but avoids their unfavorable itch. How so? Bouclé yarns are looped throughout the weave to soften the fabric to a cashmere-like feel. It wears wonderfully against the skin, so styling this Simple Jacket with a t-shirt is no problem.
