Seersucker for winter? Sure, why not!? We decided to convert one of our favorite summer fabrics into a warmer, softer, and denser fabric for the colder months. While the basic weave structure was changed dramatically to add heft and warmth, seersucker’s key characteristic – the pucker – remains. The secret sauce is a loosely woven herringbone twill structure that uses yarn tension to push and pull against the weave, creating varied height throughout.

Characteristics:
This fabric was developed just for us at our partner mill in Japan after much trial and error. In creating a winterized seersucker, we had to completely change the weave structure to get the warmth and texture we were after. We ditched seersucker’s typical basket weave and swapped for twill because of its increased yarn friction. Friction is not only what makes twill one of the strongest weaves out there, but it’s also what allows us to play with tension and create this fabric’s distinct texture. We offer free shipping for all orders within the USA and international orders over $300.
