Made by the good people at Cableami in Japan, our collaborative Corduroy Aviator Hat mixes their design sensibility with ours, and offers a quintessential cold-weather had-piece in a brand new construction. Wide-wale corduroy taken from our seasonal Simple Jackets is used for the outer cloth, while the inner planels are lined with heavy and mid-pile fleece for impressive warmth. Leather laces finish the piece with real functionality, allowing you to wear the ear flaps up or down depending on what the weather demands.

For those unfamiliar with Cableami, you're in for a serious treat. Founded by designers Shuji and Tomoka Sadamori in 2008 (the same year we opened the Gitman Vintage brand), Cableami approaches headwear from a distinctly referential perspective. Drawing inspiration from classic military, workwear, and outdoor headwear, the Sadamoris have long reinterpreted familiar silhouettes through carefully selected materials and old-world construction. That approach is self-evident in this piece, with real world function paired side by side with material and color that we've yet to see on an aviator hat before.
