This ultra-luxurious Tartan flannel arrives by way of Como, IT, where it was woven at the legendary Canclini mill. Since opening their doors in 1925, Canclini has positioned itself at the highest echelon of textile craftsmanship thanks to an immense dedication to fiber manipulation and weave techniques.
Perhaps most notably, this tartan incorporates neon orange into its design, an unexpected and extremely difficult feat. Unlike most colors, neons are incredibly difficult to imbue into textiles, and cannot be achieved through standard liquid-dye processes. Custom pigment mixing and application are required, both of which require precision techniques.
The green and black base cloth features slubbed yarns, a two-step brushing process for softness, and tartan's quintessential 2x2 weave construction.
