What appears as a standard plaid at first glance is revealed to be an incomprehensibly complex dobby weave that seems to break with all standard fabric conventions. The fabric masters at our partner mill in Japan found a way to create an irregular weave that does not repeat, and instead uses a completely randomized structure. This isn't a 2x2 like hopsack or oxford, nor is it a 3x3 like our triple yarns. Instead, it's a 5x1 in one place, a 1x1 in another, a 2x3 somewhere else, and so on.
