Inspired by the vintage rugby shirts we've long admired, our new Rugby Polo reinterprets one of menswear's most utilitarian styles with an added sense of luxury and performance. While traditional rugby shirts are cut and sewn from heavyweight cotton, ours is fashioned from 100% baby alpaca wool, trading conventional construction for a more refined approach to knitwear.

Made at our partner mill in Peru, the Rugby Polo takes full advantage of fully fashioned construction, with a three-dimensionally shaped collar, integrated placket, and fashioned shoulder seams. Trocas shell buttons add a final touch of refinement, bringing a little unexpected luxury to an otherwise utilitarian design.

And then there's the yarn. Baby alpaca is exceptionally soft, warm, and durable, with natural insulating and antimicrobial properties that make it a true workhorse. Compared to traditional cotton rugby shirts, the wool provides substantially greater warmth without unnecessary weight, while its resilience makes it equally well suited to everyday wear, active pursuits, and more polished occasions.

As with any knit item, our Rugby Shirt will age the most elegantly with knitwear-specific care and washing.
